Paul L. Schechter, CPA, MPH, MA is the Founder of CFO's Online. Paul is a Certified Public Accountant and has practiced since 1980. He specializes in the financial & tax operations of privately-held businesses and their owners. He leverages his financial & tax knowledge to to help his clients achieve financial sustainability.
Paul graduated from U.C. Berkeley in 1975 with a B.S. In Public Health and has also completed two masters degrees: one in Health Care Management from the University Of Illinois Medical Center and the other in Behavioral Arts (Conflict Management) from CSU-Dominguz Hills. He is Certified as a Mediator by the L.A. County Bar Association. He was previously a Sr. Tax Manager with Ernst & Young where he was a national specialist in partnerships and real estate. He currently runs the Tax Answer Hotline for CPA's where he provides tax advice (second opinions, research, etc.) to several hundred CPA's. He began his career in the health care audit division of Arthur Andersen & Co. and also worked in their tax-exempt restructuring group. He has been a Quickbooks ProAdvisor and a Certified Netsuite E-Commerce consultant. He was previously on the Board of the Century City Chamber Of Commerce and was a Board member of the REC and Westside United Way. He has taught classes for BH Adult Education and the Calif. Society of CPA's.
